Going Plant-Based: Why?



Plant-based: A whole-food, plant-based diet is centered on whole, unrefined, or minimally refined plants. It's a diet based on fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes; and it excludes meat, dairy products, and eggs, as well as highly refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil.

It's time to change and become happy. For over 12 years, unfortunately, I have been living on an eating disorder and thinking about eating and forgetting. I would like to change that. That is why I have made changes to my diet. No longer wanting to lose weight, but because I want to live healthy without stomach problems. I eat very much sugar and chocolate. I eat vegetarian, but I feel that the lactose and soy problems make me. Why do I want to plan-based and vegan? I explain this in the next points. I did not eat 100% vegan and plan-based. I try to make every meal as good as possible. Vegan food I find relatively easy. I just have to omit eggs, dairy products and honey. Otherwise, I have not eaten any other animal products. Plant-based is difficult as a student. Often an artificial ingredient may be included in the product. However, the goal is not to be perfect, but to be better.


"People who are obsessed with food."

Here are my reasons:
  1. I do not want to have stomach problems. Many people who eat plant-based and vegan, report that they have significantly fewer stomach problems.
  2. I would like to find out how I feel psychologically and physically.
  3. I want to protect animals. There is also much suffering behind eggs and dairy products. To minimize this suffering gives me a good feeling. I may be able to eat eggs and dairy products. I want to start slowly. Every day vegan and plant-based. Exceptions are, for example, Christmas or birthdays when there are cakes.
  4. I want to defeat my sugar and get out of my routines. I snack very often without thinking and eating too much sweets. Sugar makes you tired, sick and depressed.
  5. I want to get back my hunger feeling and learn to eat when I'm hungry.
  6. I want to get my blood glucose level under control.
  7. Finally, defeat eating disorder and remove the obsession.
  8. I make a diet change - no diet. It's about eating healthy and living healthier.
  9. I want to cook more and get to know more delicious food.
"As long as you feel like a sacrifice, it does not work."

I will write down: How I feel in general. How is my digestion. How it goes to my skin and my hair. I will also weigh and watch how my weight changes. Whether my sleep is better and I feel generally better. Reflect on what life is better: my old or my new one?
