Weight Watchers: Week 1 + 2

My first week with Weight Watcher was great until the point when something really bad happend in my family. But I kept going and just counted my points, tried to stay in it and did it. I used up all my weekly points, but I was really active last week. I didn't weigh myself last week because I was on my period. And because of water weight I weigh about 2kg (4 pounds) more during my period.

But I weight myself and I lost 1.9kg in 15 days :) I am really happy because I haven't lost any weight since probably October. It is a hugh step for my and I am just so happy. I love the point system because I can eat when I am hungry. My mistake is: I still count calories. I have to stop this. It gives my secruity, but It also makes me eat more than I need. But I'm want to change this from now on.

Here are my datas:
  • start weight (2 weeks ago): 60.3kg (133 pounds)
  • current weight: 58.4kg (129 pounds)
  • weight loss: 1.9kg (4 pounds)

  • Waist: 66cm (66cm before)
  • Abs: 78cm (80cm before)
  • Hips: 94cm (96cm before)
  • Chest: 82cm (82cm before)
  • Upper arm: 25cm (25cm before)
  • Thighs: 54cm (55cm before)
  • Calves: 36cm (36cm before)

See you next week :)

One Day in Berlin at Circus Halli Galli

There is a very popular show in Germany. The show is called Circus Halli Galli. I applied for tickets in November 2015 and was on the waiting list until February 2017. Then it was finally time. I could book tickets for the show. My boyfriend and I love the show, so we were ready to go to Berlin. We booked train tickets to Berlin and were looking forward to the day.

Three weeks later the day was finally there. I and my boyfriend made our way to the train station at 6 am in the morning. We had a five-hour train journey ahead of us. But we had really nice seats at the windows and we reached Berlin on time and had three hours to wander around Berlin. My boyfriend has never been to Berlin and I've been there twice. Therefore, I could show him Berlin and I knew a bit about it, also about the public transport. We looked at the Reichstag, the Holocaus Memorial, the Podsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, the Siegessäule, the Pariser Platz, the Brandenburg Gate. So we really saw a lot in that short time.

We ate something in a shopping center, also because we were looking for a toilet. I had a vegan potato box with mashed potatoes, veggies, vegan yoghurt dressing and nuts. It was very much and I did not finished it, but it kept me full until 7pm, so over six hours. We also sat for half an hour at Starbucks to drink a coffee and then we made our way to Tempelhof. There is the studio of the show. We arrived, gave our booking confirmation and received our seats: Block D, row 2. We were a bit angry, because we did not really want to sit so far forward. We were also relatively late, so we did not understand that.

We then had to wait about 1 hour until the inlet began. We were Block D and were only allowed to go to the studio after Block A to C. When we were in the studio we got a bad surprise. We didn't had seats at the side, as we had assumed. We were sitting in front of the usual crowds on two long benches. These are special seats, which many actually want really bad. We were really shocked and did not want to be so seen on TV. Also because we had been awake since 5 am. But it did not help. Luckily we were not seen so much on TV, but only from time to time. The show was very fun and the two host, Joko and Klaas, were very nice off-camera. They talked to the visitors and told jokes. This was really great.

The show was over at 6pm and we headed back to the main station. We had to drive about 45 minutes and our train left at 7:45pm. We reached the central station on time, picked up something to eat and were waiting for our train. I had a salad with goat's cheese, grapes and walnuts. It was incredibly delicious. My boyfriend brought something to Burger King ;)

At 11:22pm we were at our station after a long train journey - again. From there we had to drive to my apartment and after this we had to drive for fifty minutes to my boyfriend's flat to take car of our cats. It was an incredibly long journey. We were awake for almost 21 hours . However, it was an adventure that I would not want to miss. Spontanity produces good things. You just have to trust and say yes!

English High Tea in Germany

I had my first High Tea in London at the Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium. So I knew that I like High Tea's and I really wanted to have one again. The german one's are not as good and there aren't as many as in England. But my sisters and I found a really nice one in Cologne. So we went to this little Café called "Royale Cupcakes". It's kinda famous for their cupcakes and since a year they serve a High Tea as well. We went there and were really excited about how the food is and how many tea they have.

In London we paid 35 pounds and in Cologne we paid 15 euros. London is more expensive but we could drink as much tea as we want for 2 and a half hours and we could order everything from the High Tea again without paying more. We were so stuffed, so we couldn't order more, but it was enough. Moreover the money is also for the cats. You pay for the food, the drinks, the stuff, the location and the cats. So in my opinion the price is reasonable. In Cologne we could order a can of tea and the high tea for 15 euros. If we wanted more food we had to pay 3 euros. We also had to pay for another drink. I also think this is reasonable and really cheap for everything we got. The food was almost too much and I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. I ordered the vegetarian High Tea and my sister had the regular one. The only difference were that I didn't had bacon in my muffin or with my grissini. I had some cheese. But: I ordered a Orange Hot Chocolate. I love the Terry's Chocolate Orange and I loved the Costas Oranges Hot Chocolate I had in London last December. So I had to get it! It wasn't as good as the Costas one but also really nice.

The café is really small but this was alright. I really liked the stuff, the café is run by a family. I really like small cafés like this.

Afterwards we went to a Cat Café in Cologne which we love. I ordered a simple black coffee and... they had the best Carrot Cake I ever ate! So I had to order it. I ate this Cake ones and it was a dream. My two sisters and I shared this cake. There is always space for cake in my tummy ;) I really like this Cat Café. It has a nice atmosphere. At Cat Café I'm only annoyed by people who pat sleeping cats are are totally mentall when they see a cat. I enjoy being around cats and I don't harass them. The stuff of the Cat Café really needs to have an eye on their visitors. Some people don't respect the cats. They pet them, they runaway, they follow them. I mean what?! If cats runaway they don't want to be touched. But yeah, it was alright and we had a nice time at the Café. Thankfully the cats have a seperate room where they can rest if the visitors aren't that nice.

3-Month Weight Watchers: Week 0

I am starting Weight Watchers! I talked with a friend about it and I liked what she said about the programm. It really promotes healthy eating because you can eat as much vegetables and fruits as I like! And it really shows me that I eat to much sugar and sweets because these things have a lot point. I am really excited!

I can eat 30 SmartPoints daily . I also have 35 SmartPoints each week as an extra, if I eat more then I am "allowed". I am really excited what is going to happen in the next few weeks.

I have some goals. I don't just want to lose weight:
  • I want to beat my Eating Disorder. I know that I can't gain weight and be happy. I need to love my body, love myself and not going to think about food all the time.
  • Eat healthy! I still want to follow the Tone It Up Nutrition plan and I want to cook the recipes from TIU and my other healthy cookbooks.
  • I want to keep in the range of my SmartPoints. I don't want to eat more and I don't want to use my weekly SmartPoints. Exception: when e.g. I'm going to a restaurant. However, I do not want to eat so much each time until I reach the SmartPoints, but only when I'm hungry. Because...
  • I want to listen to my body and only eat if I am hungry
  • eat more vegetables
  • eat less sweets and less sugar
  • workout 5-6 times each week (run 3-4 times each week, 3-4x Tone It Up workouts
  • Portion controll: I don't want to eat much and I want to find a balance - protein, carbs and veggies

Review: Manchester By The Sea

  • Directed & Written by: Kenneth Lonergan
  • Starring:
    • Casey Affleck
    • Michelle Williams
    • Kyle Chandler
    • Lucas Hedges
  • Release date:
    • January 23, 2016 (Sundance Film Festival)
    • November 18, 2016 (United States)
  • Running: 137 minutes
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

A movie about grief, about pain, about loss. It is such an emotional journey to watch this movie because it so honst and heartbreaking. With every minutes you suck into this story and his characters, especially the main character Lee Chandler.

It's a story about a familie, I would say. Two brothers, the wife of one of the brothers, and the child of the other brother. One brother, Joe Chandler has a terminally heart disease and dies because of his condition. His brother, Lee Chandler is meant to take the costidity for Joe's sons Patrick. For many reasons, Lee can't do this and during the movies is getting more more clear why he can't do it.

I didn't watched a movie that touched me like this for a really long time. The acting was brilliant, especially Casey Affleck was phenomenal, but also my all-time favourite Michelle Williams was charming, moving and brilliant. The story is perfectly told. It's not linear. The story is interrupted from flashbacks of Lee Chandlers life. This makes this movie so easy to watch. It was over so quickly because it takes you in and you just have to sink into the world of Manchester by the sea.

I was really happy when Kenneth Lonergan and Casey Affleck won an Oscars for their work on this movie. It was well deserved. Definitely my favourite movie of the Oscars season. You really have to watch this if you like good drama, good storytelling and good acting.
