Drugstore Haul

Because I had a little bit more money to spent this month (getting paid twice this month: my regular work from july and my work at my internship in august), so I did a rather big shop at a drugstore :)

I bought some makeup because I really needed some stuff. I don't always use my luxurious foundations like NARS or Bobbi Brown. I just use them on special occasions. And I don't really need heavy foundation every day. I'm really pleased with my skin. I have some spots on my T-Zone and that's eat. Maybe some pimples sometimes. So I bought the "nearly nude make up" from p2 in the shade "01 nearly ivory" and the "mattifying perfection concealer" in "perfect nude 015" also from p2. p2 is a german brand and it's cruelty free 'cause it doesn't test on animals. I also bought the "luxurious eyeliner pen" in "pure black 010" from p2. It's my go-to eyeliner pen. If I don't want to use eyeliner gels or liquid eyeliner I use this pen. It's a got alternative for my everyday eyeliner routine ;) The last makeup bit I bought was the "Lash Sensational Mascara" in "Intense Black" from Maybellin. It's better than the benefit "They're real mascara". It's a really really good mascara and only half the price than the benefit one.

I also bought some new deodorant and I also buy deodorant without aluminium. I love the "Deo Spray Deodorant Go Fresh Peach" because it smells like a peach ♥ I never tried the "Niveao Deo Roll On Deodorant Fresh Flower" but because I'm a little bit paranoid and I don't want to smell I often use two deodorants at once. A little tip: always use shaving gel when shaving. It's way better for your skin and it can prevent injuries :) I always buy the Balea ones, a german brand as well and it's also cruelty free :) I bought it in the scent "Pink Grapefruit", but they also sell it in "Coconut Kiss" and "Caribbean Dreams".

Now we are at the hair stuff and some more expensive products. I bought two hair oils. "3 Miracle Oil Reconstructor" from Aussie for 8,95€. It smells really nice and I'm excited if it's good or not, but I'm looking forward to using it and telling you about it. I also bought the "Anti Breakage Keratin Oil Weightless Oil" from OGX and it's 7,95€. It's meant to be more nourishing and for damaged hair and against breaking hair. It doesn't has a pump. It's spraying the oil on your hair which is really nice for spreading the product on your hair evenly.

I bought some hair styling product. I bought the "Heat prodection styling spray 3-day volume" from Elnett and the "two-phase style & heat protection spray" from wellaflex. It's really important to protect you hair before you using heat on it. So I bought some new products to protect my hair and I really love these two products because it also gives volume to my hair.

Last but not least I bought the "Styling Spray blow-drier 2-day volume" from wellaflex. It's really good for volume and you spray it on your hair before you're blow drying. I also bought the "hair spray fullness & style ultra strong support" from wellaflex. It's a really good hair spray and it not to heavy which is really good because I have fine hair. And I bought the "styling salt spray beach matte surfer look" from got2b. I love sea salt spray! It just gives my hair such a good texture and beachy waves. I really love it :)

Yves Saint Laurent "Black Opium" - Eau de Parfum

I wanted a new nice parfume for a long time now. I have a really summery and fresh one already - "Daisy Dream" by Marc Jacobs. It's a really light and fresh scent. Unfortunately the scents is gone very quickly whish is really sad because it's a really expensive parfume. The flacon is beautiful but it doesn't justify the price if the scent is gone within' an hour.

So I took a trip to the perfumery of the shopping center and tried a lot of different parfums. I liked two ones: Sì - Eau de Parfum by Giorgio Armani. It's a really sweet scent and it's hard to decribe scents. Just go into a perfumery and smell this. Here are some informations on "Sì":

  • Top notes: Cassis, Bergamot, Mandarin
  • Heart notes: Freesia, Rose de Mai, Neroli, Jasmine
  • Base notes: Patchouli, Woody scents, Amber, Vanilla, Ambroxan
I knew this parfume because my sisters owns it. I would have bought it but then I found Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. I especially liked the Eau de Parfum because the scent was a little bit more intense which is normal. Eau de Toilette is more gentle than Eau de Parfum. There are three different versions of the Black Opium parfume: "Eau de Toilette", "Eau de Parfume" and "Nuit Blanche Eau de Parfum". The difference between "Eau de Toilette" and "Eau de Parfume"is the intencity of the scent. I would recommend you to smell it yourself and see which you prefer. It's a fresh but also Oriental scent with coffee aroma, pear, orange blossom, josamin, patchouli and vanille. It's a really sweet scent so if you don't like sweet scent you're not going to like this parfume. I bought "Black Opium - Eau de Parfume" because I loved the more intense scent.

  • Top notes: Pink pepper, pear, orange blossom
  • Heart notes: Coffee, jasmine
  • Base notes: Ceda, patchouli, vanilla
"Nuit Blanche Eau de Parfum" is a little but more floral than the other two versions of Black Opium. I liked the other ones more because I loved the really sweet and intense scent of them. Just try all of them :) I don't mean you should buy all of them - just try and smell them in a store :D

Products I mentioned:

Daisy Dream - Eau de Toilette by Marc Jacobs [£34.99 - £66.00] / [49,99€ - 89,00€]

 Sì - Eau de Parfum by Giorgio Armani [£46.00 - £89.00] / [59,95€ - 120,00€]

Black Opium - Eau de Toilette by Yves Saint Laurent [£40.00 - £76.50] / [69,95€ - 99,00€]

Black Opium - Nuit Blanche Eau de Parfum by YSL [£45.00 - £84.00] / [59,95€ - 117,00€]

Black Opium - Eau de Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent [£47.00 - £84.00] / [59,95€ - 117,00€]

Fairtrade Cacao + Coffee by Brands Of Soul

This is what happens if all you can think about is the Terry's Orange Chocolate that you sisters has bought you in England. You search for an unlimited supply of orange chocolate stuff. I just searched for a hot chocolate with orange flavour and I found an amazing homepage with fairtrade coffee, cacao, cocao nibs and frappé / milk shake mix. They only sell and use fairtrade cocao and coffee. This is so important so me! All of the things I bought wasn't that expensive. Buying fairtrade isn't that expensive. It's just a normal price for fair working conditions and payments.

I bought the "Nacional Arriba de Ecuador Kakaonibs". They taste so nice! They are roasted amd unshelled and direct traded cocoa beans. They have aromas of red fruits, citrus, honey and nuts. They taste really good in nice cream (ice cream made out of frozen bananas), because they stay in the ice cream so you have little cocao flakes in your ice cream. I also put them on top of smoothie bowls or into smoothies. They don't have any added sugar.
The "Frappé Smooth & Milky Choco Fudge" is a treat. It has added sugar but it's okay because it's a treat for cold summer days ;) I add this into smoothies or nice cream. It tastes like a milk shake and it was really good on this hot day we had in Germany. It's Frappé powder with cocoa powder, bourbon vanilla & caramel flavor. It has got a really creamy consistency. It's also available in bourbon vanilla flavor only.

This hot chocolate is possible the best hot chocolate I ever had. It's orange hot chocolate! It's creamy and thick dark hot chocolate. But you can make it really thick if you add more powder or if you add less powder you can have a light and creamy hot chocolate. It has natural mandarin / orange flavors and a 50% cocao content. It's also fairtrade and I can't wait for colder days to enjoy this with a good book or in the morning <3 Here is a vegan hot chocolate alternative - the 2872 hot chocolate with 72% Nacional Arriba de Ecuador cocao.

Because I ordered a lot they gave me coffee for free! It's called the "Moonlight" coffee and I can't wait to try it. It has a chocolatey base note and is supported by a moderate body. It also has flavors of chocolate, almond, walnut and vanilla. I'm a coffee lover and I try a lot of different, special coffes. This coffee sound so good. Coffee with chocolate flavors has to be a good one :)

Stationary Shopping at Paperchase

I really love stationary and organizing. Since I've been in London I'm in love with Paperchase. They have such a variaty of notebooks, journals and stationary. I needed some notbooks and other stuff for planning so I made a little shop on the Paperchase online shop. I needed a notebook to plan my day, my univerity life, my marathon, my goals, my meals and so on. So I just bought some helpful stuff :)

 10 subject notebook
A4 6-part ruled black notebook

Only 3-4 daya later I received a packages from Northamptonshire, UK. I really don't know how they make it. Receiving a package from England after just 3-4 days is really fast. A big plus! bought the A4 10 subject notebook. I'm going to use this mainly for University planing and notes. It's just amazing because you can add new papers after you're fill up the notebook. I really like this kind of notebook because I can do mistakes and just rip the page from the notebook.

I also bought the Eco A4 notebook. Unfortunately it's sold out - but here are some alternatives if you want to buy it. The black A4 notbook or the eco A5 notebook (so a little bit smaller). I love buying eco friendly notebooks and paper. Good for the environment. I think I'm going to use this for my everyday planning for different month and categories. Maybe going to do another blog post after I used all of the notebooks. The A4 6-part ruled black notebook is really similar. I bought this because there was a big discount on it ;)

A big disappointment was that two products I ordered were damaged had a "Knick". I bought the London desk pad and the Spectrascope Desk Planner. The London desk planner is also sold, but Paperchase have got a lot of different kinds of desk planners. For example the Raindrop Desk Pad or the All Change Desk Pad. I'm going to use this for my rough weekly planning. So every sunday I'm going to plan the most important things that need to get done are important events. The Spectrascope Desk Planner is perfect for meal tracking and meal planning. I'm not sure if I'm going to use the "need to get done" part because I habe different planners for this.

Last but not least I bought some mini post its and a small list pad for planning on the go. It may be seems to be a lot of planning stuff but I'm going to use everything and I just really love a organized life :)

Vegan Choco-Berry Nice Cream with Cacao Nibs

We had some really hot days in Germany so I made myself some delicious vegan Nice Cream. I literally can't eat a lot when it's warm. And the reason why I don't eat "normal" ice cream is: sugar. It is full of sugar and artificial ingredients. So If I want ice cream, I make it myself :)

For 3 portions you will need:
Brands Of Soul delivers to Germany and in a lot of other european contries.

You'll need a food processor or a really really good mixer because you have to process frozen bananas, berries and get a smooth consistency. I own the food processor "Philips HR7627/02". It wasn't expensive for a food processor this good. It is amazing for processing nuts or frozen fruits.
Just put all these ingredients into your food processor and mix it until it's all smooth. I put it into the freezer afterwards to get a really good consistency just like real ice cream.

You can top it with some berrys, maple syrup and nuts and your ready to enjoy :)

Avocado + Poached Egg on toast

This is one of my favourite meals to have for lunch! It's healthy and it got everything: vegetables, carbs, healthy fats and protein. Natural ingriedients, no added sugar. It's amazing ♥

You will need:
  • a half of a avocado
  • one egg
  • one slice of whole-grain bread
  • salt and pepper
  • some lemon juice
You don't need a lot to make this delicious lunch. Firrst you need to cut the avocado into slices, take a spoon and separate the avocado very carefully from the shell so you get nice slices. If you want you can toast your bread - I much prefer warm bread.

The next step is making the poached egg. I'm not gonna lie it isn't the easiest thing to do. It was my first try and I lost a little bit egg white on the way (my water wasn't hot enough). There are some main things that are important:
  1. The water shouldn't be boiling - not to hot, not to cold. You can make the water boil and let it cool up until the bubbles are gone.
  2. Stir the water fast until there is a little "swirl".
  3. Don't put too much water into the bowl, a little but more than the half should be enough.
  4. Put the egg in a tea cup first, it's much easier. Then put it into the swirl.
  5. Let it cook for about four minutes

Just put the egg gently on your bread and enjoy your lunch :)

My reading bucket list

I love to read. It's one of my favourite hobbys. It helps me to relax, it's helps me to be creative and makes me so happy. I have a Kindle Paperwhite (and I love it), but I also buy "used" books from flea markets or local book shops. I just love the way books looks. I'm going to write some reviews after I finshed book. Not on every book. I don't need to review a Jane Austen book for example. Here is the list of the next eight books I'm going to read. Maybe you find some storys you want to read as well :)

(my sisters and I found this in a shop and we thought it was so funny. So my sisters got me this book for christmas ;D)

Porridge with apples in a honey-cinnamon sauce

This is my go-to breakfast before a run or for cold-days. Oatmeal or Porridge is so healthy, it's really filling and it's really delicious. I think I perfect this recipe after a few trys now. It's my favourite porridge ♥

You will need:
  • 40g of fine oat flakes
  • 120-150ml of soy milk (or other nut milk)
  • 120-150ml of water
  • one large apple
  • honey
  • cinnamon
So first you have to put the oat flakes, water and milk into a bowl and make it boil. If I'm having a long run I'll have 50-60g of oat flakes and 1 1/2 apples. On normal morning I have 40g of oats. So it's okay if the oatmeal is boiling a lot. Just make sure that nothing burns on the bottom on the pot. Stiring your oats is really important. Just let it cook for 5-8 minutes. It should be really smooth.

Meanwhile you need another pot for the apple sauce. Slice the apple into small pieces, add one tablespoon of honey and as much cinnamon as you like. I like to add a tablespoon of cinnamon because I love the taste and consistency. Cook this on a high heat for 1-2 minutes, also make sure it doesn't get burned. Stir it all the time. After 1-2 minutes put the heat down to middle heat and let it cook until the apple are a soft and you have a little "honey-cinnamon sauce". Just put the sauce on your oatmeal and enjoy your breakfast :)

New sunglasses by ASOS

I never had really nice sunglasses every in my whole life because I just never found any I liked. Sometimes they were to big or sometimes to small. I'm really picky with glasses. I only bought this fake ray-ban sunglasses by H&M because it's the only kind of glasses that suits me - I guessed. So it's kinda strange that I bought this sunglasses. They are so fancy and different, and really brave. But I really liked the colour of the glasses and the "cat eye" frames. I wear my cat-winged eyeliner everyday. It's just a part of me and I really love the way I look with winged eyeliner.

I can't wait to wear them this summer! Unfortunatly they are sold out now but I linked similar ones if you like the sunglasses.

The beautiful world of The Body Shop

I really love the Body Shop. They don't test on animals, good payment, natural ingredients. It's just amazing. I'm a loyal customer for many years now and I'm always coming back. The Body Shop had a big sale last week with many lower prices and a discount "buy three, pay two" so I visited their website and found some really nice stuff which was a lot cheaper than normal.

One of my favourite scents is "Satsuma". It's smells fresh, fruity and summery. I really like the kind of strong scents because it's just so fresh. I bought the big version of the Satsuma shower gel. I like the packaging a lot because it has a pump! I also bought the big version of the Satsuma body butter. I buy this body butter for many years now. It sinks in so fast, it smells nice and it moistures my skin so good. Moreover I really love the body mist by the Body Shop. I had so many different scents of the body mists. It's a really nice way to smell nice and fresh in the summer. I bought the Satsuma body mist and it's just the perfect light scent for the summer.

The next thing I bought is the "Glazed candy apple body scrub". It's my favourite scent of all time! It is only availeble in the winter time for christmas. I know it's not christmas but I got one of the last ones I guess. I didn't pay anything because like I said - buy three, pay two :)

My favourite skin care products from The Body Shop are the tea tree ones. They aren't that expensive and they're amazing. I really like the unique smell and I like the variaty of the range. I bought the Tea Tree Squeaky-Clean Scrub and I really see a different in my skin after two weeks of using this product. Another plus: it's vegan :)

Just some more blu-rays

I really love movies and TV shows. I don't really collect a lot of stuff but I collect blu-rays / dvds, cds and books. I just love it! I want to own all of my favourite movies, tv shows, records and books. I want to have really big shelves full of books, dvds and cds. I just think it looks amazing and it's so easy to watch a movie if you have it at home.

I haven't bought movies or records in a long time but I look at my Amazon wish list very often to check the prices. And a few days ago the prices of some of the movies and tv shows declined a lot! So I had to make a little shop at Amazon.

I bought the third season of Sherlock - one of my favourite TV shows of all time and I can't wait for the new season next years (it's been three years...). I also bought the second season of Broadchurch. I watched the first season and loved it! It's about a crime case in a little town in Dorset, United Kingdom. Until almost the end you don't know who is the murder. I'm not going to tell you more - just watched it. It's amazing!

I also bought "Catch me if you can". It's an amazing movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks about Frank Abagnale, who, before his 19th birthday, successfully performed cons worth millions of dollars by posing as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a Louisiana parish prosecutor. It's funny and really entertaining.

Last but not least, I finally bought the Harry Potter box set. I don't love the movies that much because I love the books to death and the movies are so different. The first three movies and the last two are really good. The other ones aren't that good because they were too different. So much was missing. The fifth and sixth book is super long so It was hard to make it into a movie. Nevertheless I really wanted to own them because I love Harry Potter and it's a part of my childhood.

A little bit more summer shopping

I bought a lot clothes online the last week. I just wasn't happy with my wardrobe. I missed summer clothing and of course I found some nice stuff I wasn't planing on buying. If you like any if this, I linked all of this below.

Did you bought som nice stuff for the summer?

ASOS TALL Short Sleeve Stripe Top (£16.00 / 22,99€)

New Look Sateen Bomber (£29.99 / 38,99€)

I always buy jeans in lenght 34 and width 25/26. Every jeans is different. And I like my jeans long and not to short as the model is wearing the blue jeans on the picture.

Anna Field - Ankle Boot - black (discounted to 31,95€)

What I Eat In A Day #02

My breakfast was one of the best breakfast I ever had! I made pancakes for me and my boyfriend. I used buckwheat flour and protein flour made out of "almond flour, coconut flour, pea protein, wheat protein, whey protein, psyllium husks, brown flax seed, chickpea flour and wheat fibers". I used about 110g of flour, added two eggs and about 100-150ml of milk (didn't measured it). I made little pancakes, but the dough wasn't that fluid so I was able to made this fluffly big pancakes.

After I made the pancake dough I chopped three apples into small pieces, added two tablespoons of honey and as much cinnamon as I wanted and mixed it all together. You have to cook this until the apples are soft. Just cook it on middle heat for about 10-20 minutes.

I also had two pieces of milka chocolate and two dates with crunchy peanut butter. It is so good to have little treats. Don't restrict you on sweets. You are much likely to binch eat on this later that day. Just eat amazing meals and have some treats (but controlled, sugar isn't good for your body)

My lunch was a big one because I did a 15.25k run today. I aimed for a 16k run but I forget to took something to drink with me so I was so exhausted after about 11k. So i was slow at the last 4.25km which messed up with my time, but it's ok. For the first time since my injury I felt great during running. My legs wasn't heavy. It was so hummid but it was ok :)

I made a veggie burger. I can use every vegetarian patty you like. I made this burger with some lettuce, tomates and pickles. I also made a avocado cream out of 1/2 avocado, some low-fat yoghurt, salt, pepper and some lime. It's a healthy alternative to ketchup which is full of sugar. I had to use sesam buns becaue we don't have any whole-grain buns. So 90% healthy, 10% unhealthy.

As a side I made some sweet potatoe fries. I chopped half of a large sweet potatoe into small pieces and mixed this with some oil, salt and pepper. I put them into the oven for about 20 minutes on 180 degree. My oven isn't that good so you have to try what's right for your oven.

As a dessert I had some self-made tangerines quark. Just some yoghurt, low-fat quark and some tangerines. No added sugar. So yummy!

I had a little dinner because my breakfast and my lunch were so big. I had the rest of my chocolate berry recipes (you can find this recipe on my blog - click here!) and added some blueberries, raspberries and some almond butter. I also had a rye crispbread with vegetarian salami.

I had a really healthy day. I had three meals and had a little bit of chocolate. So happy. I'm thinking about calories and so on but the 15k run help (1150 calories burned!). I just want to eat what I want, healthy, when I'm hungry. No restriction, no hate.

Hope you liked it - what did you ate today?

vegan & gluten-free coconut-buckwheat pancakes

This is one of the best breakfast of the world! It keeps you full, it's pancakes, maple syrup and it's healthy, vegan und gluten-free :)

You will need:
40g of buckwheat flour
20g of coconut flour
150ml of almond, coconut or oat milk
one small banana (about 80-100g) - if you allergic to fructos you can use a egg

For the topping:
20g of maple syrup
50-80g of berries

Take one banana and mush it until it's really smooth. After that you need to put the flour and the milk into the bowls and mix everything togehter. Put some coconut or vegetable oil in your pan and put it on a middle heat. Make little pancakes. It's much easier to flip then. Cook the pancakes for 2 minutes on each side.

After that: put some maple syrup on your pancake, some berries or a banana and it's ready to enjoy :)

What I Eat In A Day #01

I hoped you liked my blog post on healthy eating, be happy again, controlled eating, stop binching and so on. I'm going to start with a "What I Eat In A Day" blog post about my meals today. Unfortunatly I snacked in between and ate some granola. But: I think I can reach my calorie goals.

For breakfast I made some banana pancakes with berries. I mushed one banana and added two free range eggs. I mixed it until it was a smooth dough and made my pancakes. Tip: make little ones. It's much easiert to flip them. I also heated up some frozen berries - no sugar added :) As a treat I ate a mini donut (only 86 calories) and I had my daily morning coffee with some milk. I love black coffee but I don't have one in the morning. It's just not good for you to dring black coffee on a empty stomach. I ate this around 7:45/8am. I first took a shower and the pancake making takes it's time.

I'm working from 12-4pm today so I had to had my lunch earlier. I ate around 11am so 3 hours after my breakfast. It was ideal but I can't eat on my work and I don't want to starve myself. I need to find another way because I don't like to consum the big part of my calories in only 3-4hours. So I had 250g low-fat yoghurt (lacto-free), with 250g pear (one whole pear) and 135g peach (one whole peach). I also added 40g of delicious chocolate granola (LOVE IT!). After that I had a little after eight dessert (118 calories). Without the useless snacking of granola it was good.

After my first 4 hours of work I had my dinner at 4.30pm. It's early I know but that's because of my working sheldue. I ade myself a lot of veggie, with soja cuisine by alpro, some "gemüse fund" and some thymian. I also added some tahin sesam paste. On top I putted one tofu "schnitzel" by a brand called "Rügenwalder Mühle". It's a german brand I guess. They simply make one of the best tofu products. I hope this keeps me full. I'm going to work from 5.45pm to 8pm. I will be at home at around 8.30pm and it  would be to late to eat. I don't really like this kind of work days. Normally I would eat at home at around 5-5.30pm. Unfortuntaly I had to get a salad because the vegetables were too spicy. I'm going to eat 100 calories less tomorow. SO it's ok.,

I had a really bad day. So I snacked some granola, but I don't binch and I'm not going to gain weight because of this day. I walked a lot too. I'm just really down because of different things. Not because of weight and so on.

Mistakes I've done
- ate to early after my breakfast without having hunger
- ate to much sugar
- too much usless snacking

How I want to change this?
- 1. breakfast first, after that take a shower, put on make up, read and do something on my todo list
- 2. plan my meals more carefully
- 3. plan 3 good meals and sweets (just 1-2 bits) + plan in the stuff i snacked on for the next day

Neo Magazin Royale

For everyone outside Germany: you may not know this TV Show, so this for my germany readers. I had the chance to visit the Neo Magazin Royal twice. It's a political comedy like "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver". The first time I took my sister and we had some coffee and amazing waffles! It was really nice and we were really excited to visit the Neo Magazin Royal studio.

On the first recording we really had the best time ever. The host Jan Böhmermann was so funny and nice. They did a long online exclusive. They cooked and he gave me some food. Thas was really nice. You can see this on the internet on their youtube channel. It was a really long show and I was so happy and had a really great time.

The second times I went there they did two shows. So we had a little break between the shows so we got some food and chilled for almost 3 hours. It was a really long break! But they did a "musical" show and they had to prepare all the instruments. It was also really nice but It was really late and we almost missed our last train. All in all, I had two amazing days and I'm really happpy about these memories I made.
