Hello March, Bye February

The last months were very stressful. I had to learn for three difficult exams. Since Christmas I was busy studying and studying. But finally I did it! I have my life back. Follow students may understand;) I have rewarded myself first. I was celebrating with friends. We were bowling, drinking together and ate delicious food. And of course, dancing.

I bought the famous "They're real"-Mascara by benefit. Until now I only had the "roller lash" Mascara by benefit, whish I love a lot. I never tried "They're Real" Mascara, but I'm going to tell you about my experience :)
Also, I finally bought a new iPhone. The iPhone 6S in rosé-gold. Onthe photos it looked very pink, but it's a really beautiful rose-gold.

I can finally blogging again. I'm planning a lot of blog post and take pictures. I am very excited to finally live again and to tell you about it.

The life of an university student

Unfortunately, I'm very busy and don't have time to write blog posts because I write two exams and am learning all the time. However, I wanted to recommend you a few products that I love and help me a lot during the time of learning and stress.

My life is rescued by my beloved coffee and of course - some sweet, for example: Oreo cookies.

The calendar by paperchase helps me learn and I have always planned my whole week and soon I'll be a Bullet Journal start and tell you about it!

Makeup brands which let me look kinda good despite the stress are STILA Cosmetics and NARS. Here the Rouge "Orgasm" by Nars, the Illuminator by NARS can be worn under foundation and the eye shadow palette by NARS.

I wish you a wonderful week. See you on the other side - after the exams on Friday :)

Guacamole on toast

One of my favourite little meals! Sometimes I'm not that hungry, but still want to eat something because it's not good to skip a meal. For the "little hunger" I like to eat a toast or a whole-grain bread with avoado or guacamole. I will tell you how to make a nice guacamole which is healthy and delicious:

You need:
  • 1 whole-grain bread or toast
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 1 lemon
  • 20-60g joghurt with 1,5% fat or fat-free joghurt
  • salt and pepper
On the first photo you see all the ingridients together in one bowl: the avocado, the joghurt, pepper, salt and some lemon.

You have to cut the avocado into to halves. I've got a little tip. There is an easy way to remove the core from the avocado. Take a sharp knife and "hit it" into the core. You can now remove it with a lateral movement very quickly and easily.

Take a spoon and remove the inside of the avocado and put it in a bowl. Now you have to mush the avocado. You can use a fork, or if you can use a mixer if you like it very creamy. I always use the fork, because I love it when they're some bigger pieces left in the guacamole.

Anyway, you can still decide how much yogurt, salt, pepper and lemon you like. My tip: starts with a teaspoon of yogurt, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a dash of lemon. You can then mix, taste and seasoning if necessary again or add some more yogurt. Just what you prefer! I like the pure taste of the avocado. But I also like the creamy, citrus taste, if I add yogurt and lemon.

My guacamole will look something like this. I put some guacamole on my bread and then I can finally eat it. In Germany we have very delicious rolls. I know that there is not so much choice in bread everywhere. Anyway, I choose a pumpkin seed bun. Very healthy and incredibly tasty. (I had to change the room, so I had to make the last photo on a different background.)

I hope you liked the recipe. If you did, I would very happy if try it and tell me your opinion in the comments.

xx Anni

Wishlist: ASOS Order

I love ASOS and I made a little purchase and just wanted you to see what I ordered. I hope everything fits, because they didn't always had 34/36 or XS/S and I often need a smaller size because my upperbody is kinda small. I'm not skinny or something but sometimes the clothing is a little bigger than a  S should be, so I have to order a smaller size. I often wear XS/34 on shirts or sweaters and S/36 in trousers. But I also have jeans in XS/26(weight) or 34 in skirts and dresses. So: your dress size doesn't define your body or how you feel about your body. It's so random and in different stores you often have to buy different sizes. So: if you like your body but you have to buy a size bigger or maybe - if you don't like to wear smaller sizes - smaller sizes, just don't care :)

If you like any of this here are the links. I'm going to do a blog post If any of this fits and I buy them :)

Thanks so much for reading and I would love to hear your opinion about this clothes in the comments :)

London in December

Flying at 7 am means - get up at 3 am. After a long and painful farewell from my two cats we went to the central station by taxi - 5 minutes drive. But at this time no buses drove and with 2 suitcases we had no choice. After the 40-minute train ride - my boyriend took a nap ;) - we arrived at Cologne-Bonn airport.

We still had time and ate breakfast and drank a disgusting coffee - unfortunately, but we needed the caffeine. We relaxed for an hour at the airport. I am rather early than missing my flight. I don't have money for this.
I felt well during the flight. Despite my fear of flying. Unfortunately my boyfriend don't took the flight as good as me. He hasn't been on an airplane for a long time and got a bad headache. He is afraid of flying. But I held his hand and told him that the flight fortunately only takes 60 minutes.

At the Stansted airport in London we got our bags very quickly. After I was told that my passport photo on my passport does not look like me. Well I wasn't surprised since I had lost 20kg and 5 pants sizes and changed my hair from red to blond ;) We drove by bus to Victory Station. I'll never take the bus again! Next time I buy a train ticket! The bus drive was hectic and way too long!

We arrived at the hotel and left our bags in a room. The check-in isn't possible before 2pm and we did not want to pay more money. We wanted to use our money for our holiday - food, shopping - and not for the Check-In. So we parked our bags and I was finally able to explore the beautiful city that is: London!

We were very tired on our first day! But we still explored a lot of London! We literally walked for 8 hours straight! Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Squar, Soho and more. We crossed the river over the Waterloo bridge. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of London. I have rarely seen as many beautiful buildings as I saw in London. Also all the great cafes and restaurants, all the sweet taxis and the typical red buses. I was thrilled and If I had a lot of money, I would move to London :)
We drove back to the hotel after we were awake since 3am. We snuggled into bed, warmed up and spent a cozy evening with a good movie and a yummy snacks from Sainsbury's.

On the next day we had planed our trip to a Cat Café in Bethel Green - I love this district. So many pretty shops and cafés. This was heaven for me. You can read a more detailled report about our visit at "Lady Dinah's Cat Café" on the separate blog post I wrote - click here!

Afterwards we started our second day in London. Exploring the city and finally, finally - went to Harrods. I was so excited for this big store, especially during christmas time. All the christmas lights outside and inside. The beautiful make-up counters. I was overwhelmed, also by the prizes, but I expected this. I bought something nice and I also bought myself a snowman cupcake :) My boyfriend bought a lot of presents in the sweets department. I was in chocolate heaven and wanted to buy everyhing chocolatey in there!

Harrods is in the district Knightsbridge and oh my gosh - that's where the rich people live. If I had a lot of money I would immediately move there. The buildings were gorgeous! I was overwhelmed by all the old buildings and sad as well because I never will be able to live there :I

We continue exploring London. We visited Buckingham Palace and Westminster. Of course Covent Garden where I purchased something at the Moomin Shop. I had a Shake Shack burger with a portobello mushroom as patty (veggie of course). It was delicious! I bought a calender at Paperchase and we really enjoy the christmassy sprit of Covent Garden in December.

I also saw Backer Street 221b and the original filming scene of Sherlock (BBC). I was so excited! I am such a big Sherlock fan and my fan heart nearly explodes <3

On one day we visited Hyde Park. After our trip to Buckingham Palace. The Winter Wonderland christmas market was more like a german carnival! There where german stands everywhere. I read so much an german and I was so amused. My boyfriend and I often said "I thought we were in London, not in Germany". It wasn't a nice christmas market. I was really disappointed, but expected something different. But: I really loved the Hyde Park with all the ducks, geese and squirrels. We walked so much and later saw beautiful buildings after we left the Hyde Park.

Later we had dinner at Jamie's Italien. You can read a more detailled report about our visit at "Lady Dinah's Cat Café" on the separate blog post I wrote - click here!
At Jamie's Italian
Hyde Park

At Liberty
Nutella explosion at Hyde Park - Winter Wonderland (you could used this nutella for 6 slices of bread and it still would be enough for the pancake xD)

I really fell in love with London. Our trip ended after 4 day and I was really sad. I didn't wanted to leave. Anyway, me and my two sisters plan do go back to London to visit the Harry Potter Tour and just to return to London in December, and Lady Dinah's Cat Café :)

We drove back to the airport and had some coffee and food. At our last day my boyfriend ate his second burger from Five guys and he loved it again. I ate the fries because they didn't have a vegetarian burger. In germany you always have a vegetarian choice. I was really sad because my boyfriend was so impressed by the burger.

We had an amazing trip and I can't wait to come back. The only good thing about leaving London was being able to cuddle my two cats again. I missed them so much <3

We saw the bus and I was so jealous! So many people queued for this and I had to take another back to the airport. My fangirl heart broke.

Review: Panic! at the disco - Death of a Bachelor

The first Panic at the disco recordthat debute number one. Unfortunatly not the best one, more like... the worse. But I'm happy for Brendon Urie. I just wished that he get this number one for a different record. Maybe it's like with Leonardo DiCaprio and the Oscars. He wa so much better in many movies, but I still hope that he can finally get the prize!

Anyway, I was very sad because I was really looking forward to this record. While listening I was constantly disappointed with every song. There is a mess, no line, the music is confusing and the lyrics without purpose and without meaning. I am a huge Panic! At The Disco fan and I had previously been more than satisfied with every album. I loved so many songs and many of them are one of my favorite songs 'til today. So I can only recommend the previous albums. You can listen to them on Spotify.

Now a small review of the new record.
"Victorious" is the first single and is the most "Panic! At The Disco" -like song. Brendon Uries voice is amazing. You get the feeling that they put more input in this song, the most I guess. "Do not Threaten Me With A Good Time" is the first song that sounds like something Frank Sinatra. The whole album is influenced by Frank Sinatra. Brendon Urie didn't needed to copy him. He is an great artist by its one. In "Hallelujah" Brendon Uries voice is beautiful and
comes into play. I liked this song just because it was a bit more quite and not as chaotic as the other songs. "Emperor's New chlothes" is a good example of a chaotic song without meaning and without golden thread. Very sad. "Death of a Bachelor" could have been a song from Sinatra. It is beautiful and - again a bit quieter! The biggest problem with Panic! At The Disco's new album is really that many songs are too chaotic, too full. And the other problem is that one often thinks: "Have I inserted the Frank Sinatra Christmas record?". "LA devotee" is one of the song I really adore. It has a nice melody and I just love it and listen to it all the time. It is very intuitive and a good pop song. I like the verses in "The Good, The Bad and The Dirty". Brendon Urie sings very dark and I like the melody. The whole "oh-oh-oh" (also in "House Of Memories") in the chorus is too flat and I want the greats lyrics back. I liked the last bridge before the last chorus in "House Of Memories". It seems more harmonious and the melody is really good. Brendon Urie ends his album with another "Sinatra" song. It really sounds like Sinatra at certain moments of the song. Brendon please, you don't need this! Such a talented singer who is so lucky to be born with such a voice. "Impossible Year" is indeed a good, quiet song, but as I said - like Sinatra. And I don't want Sinatra song in a Panic! At The Disco record.
Unfortunately, the album is a disappointment. No doubt - Brendon Urie is a great singer. However, I can only hope that he quickly hangs Frank Sinatra in the closet - so to speak - and start to creat is one music again.
